well ive had my tank up for about 3 weeks an im fully cycled. Im trying to add some soft coral to my tank an i just read that i need water movement to keep the corals healthy can anyone recommed a wave maker for a 40 gal tank.

I would wait a bit longer before you add any coral. Can you tell us the parameters of the tank, lighting etc?

I have the Red sea somethign or other wavemaker on my 55. Works well and got it fro free from Jim.

the tank paraminders are 36x18x12 an i have a t-5 series double linear strip 30 inch 10,000k daylight i also have a picture

parameters are the PH, nitrates, nitrites, calcium, Temp, salinity, etc.

Thats funny guys LOL just grab yourself a couple powerheads and put them in there.. You need to have good water movement to help supply soft and hard corals with the nutrients they are filter feeders you also need stonge enough lighting since they use photosynthisis as well to survive. Both of these work together in order to keep corals hard or soft. Koralia 2's or 3's would work great and there cost is not as bad as like vortechs...
