Clowns don't necessarily need anenome and, especially captive-bred clowns, will not always be symbiotic with them. Also, there are some anenomes that are compatible and some that are not. What kind of clown is it?

Some clown do not like that anemone. I have 2 clarkies and mine love the pink tip but they will go in anything.

Yeah my clarkii loved the pink tip as well! Like I said....some take, some don't. Give it time and if it doesn't happen don't sweat it.
