Default ridding LR of hitchhikers before putting in your tank?

What is the best method of driving hitchhikers out of LR before you put it in your tank so you can see what you want and don't want?

I still new to all of this saltwater stuff. But all I have read and heard is that you want all the LR critters to stay on, it is good for the cycling and also good for tank mates. But dont just take my advice, like i said i'm still new.

There's more that could come on live rock than just worms and pods. Shrimp, crabs, coarls, sponges, and even fish can hitchhike their way into your tank on LR. I don't want to add something to my tank (like a mantis shrimp ) that may be harmful down the road.

You can soak the live rock in a hypersalinity solution for about 15-30 min ( SG of 1.030 or so). That will usually drive inverts out.

I heard that pouring soda water or carbonated water will get critters out real fast and you just grab the ones you want and throw them in a tank thats set up. It won't harm your rock. I read that on a site that suggested how to get mantis shrimp and bristle worms out of your rock without boiling or putting chemicals in it.
