| New to the Hobby (Getting Started/Setting Up) Think you can upgrade to saltwater? Your probably very confused, but remember ask questions and you'll get your answers on here! |

 hermit crabs i noticed last night that there were a bunch of legs laying in the sand and i thought that one of my crabs died. i found the 3 hermit crabs in the tank and they all look ok so my question is do they molt?  |

| yep, crabs molt as do shrimp |

| I found the same thing in my tank, its probably a molt |

| I found a thing on the internet about regular hermit crabs. It states that that is due to stress, not molting. I'm assuming that the same thing applies to saltwater, but I'm not sure. |
