Halt supplements and dosing, increase flow, decrease lighting, siphon out slime with 2 or 3 water changes a week, check/clean filtration media and equipment with RO/DI water, check for death, decay or other sources of ammonia, if tap water is being used with or for anything then end that as well.. High Phosphate levels can cause Cyanobacteria to flourish, so check that regularly. Basically you have to just wait it out and clean it up as it spreads. Chemical additives are never a good option, although some report success, the natural way has no side effects or collateral at risk. And it usually doesn't come back once under control.

What are you water parameters, lighting schedule and livestock list like?

How long has your tank been set up and what type of brown algae are you having (hair, bacteria, diatom)? New tanks often get brown algae during the normal cycling process. If that is the case, it should go away on its own within a few weeks.

As these guys already asked, give us some info on your tank...here's a few questions that came to mind..

How old?
What size, how much livestock?
Water parms?
Lighting, how old, Schedule?
What do you feed, schedule?
How often do you do WC, do you use RODI water, how old r the filters?
What do you have for flow?
