Default Finally got my 95 gal up

I finally got it running. I moved everything from my 55 gal into the 95 gal (including water so that I dont have to start from scratch) and a new Aqua C 180 protein skimmer that is working great.

Now my question:
1. My tank is about 83.2 degrees, will i be needing a chiller if i want to have corrals?
2. How long should i wait for the tank to be complete cycled to start adding some corals? the original tank is about a year old now so i'm assuming since i transferred most of the water in their that it wouldnt take so long

Thanks

1st things first.

What are your parameters?

What type of lighting are you running on the 90 gallon?

What type of corals are you looking to get?

Depending on the lighting system you have on there now. If its sufficiant enough light to have corals and your only getting up to 83, you might be able to run a couple small walmart fans over the top of the tank. Maybe one over the sump.

IMO I think if you add 1/2 the amount of water from your original tank there should not be a cycle. Unless your adding dry rock or something to spike the parameters.

Lighting is a coralife compact,
I was gonna take my parameters tonight to make sure.
As far as corals, i do want to start out one at a time with easy once and go from month to month on it. I did add new rocks (limestone) for base rock with my live rock.

If i run some fans i need to make sure i have a top off system wouldnt i because i will lose allot of water, also with fans how much cooler do you think i can drop it to? We have AC and we keep it at 82

Power compacts usually dont put off enough light to sustain corals in a healthy enviroment.

Most people have switched to T5 lights or MH.

You will want an auto top off system too whether you have fans or not. It makes life a whole lot easier. But you dont have to add one.

The fans could drop the tank to 79-80 degrees. just have them pop on with your lights.
