I`ve recently got some anemones which after a day moved into dark places and closed up. I have a uv which they seem to come out to but soon as I put the white light on, they close up again. The white light doesnt seem really bright so not sure what to do! Can anyone help pls.

Im not actually sure, we bought them off of ebay, i think they are common anemones, they are quite small.
They are sort of similar to aptasia but shorter and more substantial.
They stayed out the first day we got them but have gradually gone off into holes in the rocks etc.

coult you post a photo of them? I would not worry about the light. If they decide that it is too bright, they will move or adapt.

Anemones like lots of light and can do great even under 400w metal halides. You stated that they are small like aiptasia, you got them off of ebay, and they contract into holes. That sounds scary to me personally. Are they majano anemones? A picture would be very helpful.

Please read and research before buying. It will save you tons of money in the long run and probably keep you in the hobby for a longer period.

Ok here is a pic of the same type of anemone we have, we have 2 which are this colour, a green one and a pink one, ours have all buggered off into the darkness so wasn't able to get a pics of ours.
They all look in good health as in none of them look ropey!
