Default 5 w per gallon enough for anemones???????

say i have a typical 8 gallon tank and i have 40 watts of power compact lighting. is that enough for some of the stony corals anemones?

yea i read that everywhere you know 2-6 watts per gallon but then all the sudden i hear some people say "you will need a 200000 watt 40000h metal halide for hard corals and anemones" and its confusing

Those ratings are more guidelines than exact science.
Depth of the tank is the bigger factor than volume. Surface area also has an affect.

With a shallow tank like that you should be good.

What types of bulbs are you running? 10K, acintic, 50/50?
