 5 w per gallon enough for anemones??????? say i have a typical 8 gallon tank and i have 40 watts of power compact lighting. is that enough for some of the stony corals anemones?  |

| Re: 5 w per gallon enough for anemones??????? yea i read that everywhere you know 2-6 watts per gallon but then all the sudden i hear some people say "you will need a 200000 watt 40000h metal halide for hard corals and anemones" and its confusing |

| Re: 5 w per gallon enough for anemones??????? Those ratings are more guidelines than exact science. Depth of the tank is the bigger factor than volume. Surface area also has an affect. With a shallow tank like that you should be good. What types of bulbs are you running? 10K, acintic, 50/50? |
