Default Need help! Fish dying!

Hey all, had a few concerns over the last few days, but im trying to figure out what killed the fish through process of elimination. I checked the water quality(ammonia, nitrate, etc.), specific gravity, and examined the fish throughly for about 4 days. The water quality is good. pH(8.2), ammonia(0.0ppm), nitrate(0.0ppm),nitrite(0 .0ppm). Small amounts of brownish algae growth is currently blooming, and specific gravity is at 1.026. Sounds ok enough for a Blue Damsel to survive right? After the tank cycled, I added one and it promptly died about 2 weeks later with no obvious signs of stress and no rapid spikes in temperature of the water or ammonia? Any ideas as to what happened? My tank is now fishless, but I think Im going to add a Snowflake Eel. Any info i can get so that this doesnt happen again would be great ! Thanx again guys!

i would wait until you have a surviving damsel before i put a snowflake in, just to be safe you wouldnt want to spend the money on an eel to find out the water still isnt safe for whatever reason....stick with the cheaper fish until your sure
