Default Need advice:on moving a mature reef tank and fish

I have an oportunity to purchase a mature reef tank and livestock. Need advice on moving the tank and live coral and live stock in a vehicle for a distance of about 300 to 350 miles in cool or cold weather. Please offer any advice in detail. Thank you:confused:

Well, you've got your work cut out for you. You'll most likely need to do it all in one trip, so a minivan or SUV would be helpful, so you can keep all your inhabitants inside a temp controlled environment. I'd pack all your live sand/live rock in a big rubbermaid with some water. Then I'd pack the fish, probably individually, in those styrofoam coolers you can get at wal-mart. That's how I did it when I moved about 800 miles, and they all made it alive.
