Default Rookie Rookie Rookie Here!!

I just purchased a 55 gallon to start my first saltwater aquarium. I also purchased Real Ocean Water and Natures Ocean Marine Substrates. I have 2 Prolife Power Head Pumps and a underwater filter system and a Berlin Airlift
60.

I purchsed all of this under the advice of the local Petsmart salesman. However I do not have a clue as to how to get started and if I need anything else. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

My current tank is my first and has been running three years pretty successfully. I started by reading a few books, and they had all the info I needed to decide and size what equipment to get. Check Amazon.com...

"Salt Water Aquariums for Dummies" (no joke - GOOD book), also "The New Marine Aquarium". Lots of great info. Good luck with the tank!

Default Reading is Fundamental

Thanks, I have read quite a few publications although they seem to be to advanced, however I will definitely purchase the Salt Water Tanks for Dummies, I had no idea it was available.

Thanks again.

I hope you don't mean an undergravel filter. Those are kind of worthless in the saltwater hobby, IMO. They cause a lot more problems than they are worth.
