Default Anyone have a corner tank?

Does anyone here have a corner tank? Right now we have a 72 gallon tank, normal shaped. I have found a really nice corner tank that would fit so well in our house. It is 92 gallons and fits in the corner. It is about 3 feet in each direction out from the corner and then the front is curved. From the top it would be a right angle triangle, but with the front curved.

I have never read or seen anything about a tank like this being used as a salt water. The tank we have now is second hand and quite worn in appearance. We have 6 fish in it, about 80 pounds of live rock, 5 shrimp, 4 snails, 10ish hermit crabs, and 3 groups of zoanthid polyps. The corner tank is deeper than our present tank, but we don't have anything that requires tons of light. Not really sure how to set up the rocks in the new tank.

I had a corner bow 55, I think that's the next size down from one you are talking about, and ran it as a FOWLR for over a year. Make sure to get a good skimmer and be careful considering your fish population because the corner bow's surface area is less than for the same size gallon rectangular tanks. Good luck to you.

Thanks. We got the tank today it looks really big! I was thinking about the surface area and fish numbers, I guess I need to do some math.

I have a 54 gallon bow front corner tank and I love it. We set ours along a half wall so you can see it from two rooms. [IMG][/IMG] We placed all of our rocks in the center so when you look around the tank the refection allows you to see behind all of the structures. Can sit for hours and watch all of the activity.
