Default Skimmer Adjustment

I have a Euro rs-80 ps. Just got my tank and sump running last night. I turn on the skimmer pump and it makes almost no bubbles. There is no adjustment other than the raising and lowering of a tube with a filter on the end of it coming out of the bottom of the skimmer. Whats this adjustment for and what water level do I want in the sump and
does the water level in the sump affect how the ps works?

Yes, thankyou there is an air line and it needs to be above the water line in the sump. I see how it works now. The pump for the skimmer sucks in water creating a venturi valve effect and draws in air through the air line and mixes it with the water thus making millions of little bubbles.....Skimming like crazy now! Full of foam and filling up. Fantastic!

You got me covered Sarha

The airline does need to be above the water, leave the "silencer" wide open so it allows full air access, you can even run it with it off if the air sucking noise wont bother you..

Set the riser pipe so its fully open for now to break the skimmer in, after a week or so once it breaks in, you can fine tune it alot better.

I think your going to be VERY happy with your choice of skimmer, They work very well for the price..

Sounds like you figured it out and its already working well for ya
