| New to the Hobby (Getting Started/Setting Up) Think you can upgrade to saltwater? Your probably very confused, but remember ask questions and you'll get your answers on here! |

 Stuff covering LR Hello all. Not sure want is all over my LR just started after i got my new lights current PC 260w. i have 2 pic of the stuff agle im sure, but don;t know what to do Tank stas. 120,2 bak-pak filters. 1 rio 1700 power head and 1 600 i just added. Tank up for 1 year fish 1 yellow tang,brown clown, 3 gobies yellow,tiger and a red line,2 Zoos i steal from a nano cube from a pal, sea grass wrasse and cleaning crew. If you are what I see on pic is purple that you are talking about? That is coraline algae that is good thing to grow it will cver the rocks and glass and get the bad hairy green algae from growing on the rocks. here is a link to read. How to Grow Coralline Algae in a Saltwater Aquarium

| Re: Stuff covering LR Na its accually cover my pur corline agle.. I did some resreach and i belive its diatoms and or dirturis not sure how its spelled. Just grabed some cerith snails heard the are good to eat that stuff. thanks for reply |

| Re: Stuff covering LR Thanks again. I just added more sand rinsed the LR off in a RO/ bath and ordered 2 more powerheads. Did not have enough flow.. will have pics as soon has it wooks pretty again. |
