TJ, tank looks good! Do you have a sump of some sort? I noticed the overflow, if so, where are pictures of that?

What type of lighting? Viper HQI? Or something similar? Looks very bright!

Looking good so far, I can defiently say to get a blue or back background for the back of the glass.. it'll hide all the wires and make the tank even brigher then it already is

see those cermaic pores in the top of your aquaclear filter? Remove them !! They will trap nitrates... as far as the carbon in the middle, change that every 2-4 weeks, and rinse that sponge WELL, that too can be a nitrate factory...

You could also fill it up with rubble rock and that'd make a nice lil pod safe haven...

Keep up the good work

ok i removed that other stuff. the guy at the lfs said not even to put in the carbon.. so i'll just go with the sponge? or should i just take out the sponge and put in live rock rubble?

and for further info, the aquaclear is only on there to build up some good bacteria, so when i start my 10g nano in a couple weeks, it'll have a head start

Hi I was wondering if you cycled the tank for 6 week's before adding fish.....If you diden't you could be setting yourself up for falure....Other then that it look's great just slow down....There's no way to build a reef in a week..Patience is the key..
