Default Extra food for clean up crew?

My tank is a couple months old and I have ordered a package with Hermits crabs, snails and peppermint shrimp and a Algae Blenny. I am concerned that because my tank is pretty new, I won't have enough food for them.

I also have a couple damsels and clown fish.

I remember reading that I cold get extra greens by feeding them the seawead stuff they use for sushi and that it was much less expensive than food manufactured for the hobby.

Does anyone know anything about this? Do I need to do anything else to make sure they have enough food?

you could feed some algea waffers or maybe that seaweed, I forgot the name but you can get it at your local market(shaws or stop and shop). I know that my crabs will readily eat a frozen preparation(shrimp, clam,e tc). I think it might be a good idea to substitute for a while, esp. if your tank seems really clean and you dont have lots of LR.

Thanks, I bought one of the packages recommended for my size tank, but it seems like a lot to add all at once. Other than staying on top of water quality and water changes I need to worry about adding the package at once?

other than acclimating them (the shrimp slowly over a few hours as they are sensitive to changes in ph, salinity, and temperature) it shouldnt be a problem as long as theres something for them to eat.

Also for crabs you want to keep proper iodine levels to assist with molting, and proper calcium levels for snails to grow their shells.
