Default Clean Up Crew

Okay so I am biting the bullet, I have a snail and a hermit crab both of which are very very very small, I also have some algae that I placed into my hang on back filter he side where the water free flows through the filter not on the pump side). My question is what would be a good clean up crew to get. I can get them at my LFS but I would like to have an idea of what to get pre buying. The guy at my LFS said that shrimp are dangerous as they will eat my fish(must not loose Bob, Flamer, or Poopie) So I was thinking of adding a few more hermits to help out with the detrius removal.

I am running a 29 gallon reef/fowlr tank with a 30-60 gallon hang on back tetra silent filter.

I try to stay away from the crabs. Don't want to lose all my snails. I have a 40g and have three turbos, three nassarius, one cleaner shrimp and two peppermint shrimp. I also use the vacuum when doing water changes. So far the tank has had good water quality even before I put the skimmer on. I have been happy with the clean up they have been doing. What specifically are you wanting to clean up? Hair algae, detrius, other algae?
