Pipefish died today Last night I noticed my Pipefish, who lives in the 10 gallon tank, was not doing very well. So I tested my water to see if something changed -- ammonia spiked from 0 to .50 and N2 was up to .25. So I did removed 3 gallons of salt water and replaced 3 gallons of water. I have to retest the water this a.m. But my pipefish did not make it, I have 2 other fish in this tank -- firefish. Should I remove them? I am not sure why pipe died --- water 2 days before was fine.
Any thoughts on the lifetime of a pipefish?
I also have a 75 gal tank (much easier) and we had bought a cleaner shrimp --
I have live rock in this tank ... I have not seen the cleaner shrimp in this tanks for about 5 days -- do you think he died? Water levels are okay and no body parts have been found.
In the 75 gallon tank I have live rock, 2 clowns, 1 damsel, and a lawnmower. The lawnmower was a added a day a go.
Thanks for listening. |
