Default Sump setup & plumbing advice

I am going to be setting my sump (20gal glass) this weekend after my skimmer (Euro-Reef RS80 extruded) comes in the mail. I have never worked with PVC, silicone, or pretty much anything to do with this process. I am going to go to Lowe’s and get 5 glass baffles, silicone to glue them, and PVC (1/2 inch) for my return pump (Mag 5). My plan was to have the first chamber of the sump to house the skimmer then over, under, over baffles. Next a refugium with LS, LR, and Chaetomorpha Algae two more baffles (over, under), and lastly my return pump. If anyone has any suggestions, hints, do’s/ don’ts, or anything else to say I would appreciate it. Sorry for the long post. (55 gal)

Sounds like a plan can you post pictures of your build? 5 Baffles seems like it may be to much did I miss something? Maybe your design but it sounds like it is in order in which it will work the way it is supposed too! MS Paint can be used to show us your design. Please take some pictures of your build as you go. we all would like that! Thanks and good luck!

Should I eliminate a baffle I assumed the more is better to eliminate bubbles. Any advice on working with PVC? should I take off the flexable tubing coming out of my overflow and change it to PVC

Is this your design? Most that I have seen show 4 baffles. Your choice in skimmers will definitely make a difference bubbles as well. Great drawing!

It is my design (I guess) I have been looking at a lot of different set ups and I liked this one. With just four baffles would it be 3 then 1 or 2 then 2? Skimmer is a Euro-Reef RS80 extruded Euro-Reef RS-80 Protein Skimmer - Extruded Acrylic - Marine Depot - Marine and Reef Aquarium Super Store

That Skimmer gets good reviews I am not familar with it though. Thanks for showing us your design. 4 baffles seems like enough maybe someone else can shed more insight on having 5?
