Default 1 week old

Well we've made it through the fist week. Nothing much going on in tank. We have our lighting now and can see soooo much more. There is pink ,blue and green corline on the live rock and some sponges I think. I put a tread in the indeifacation forum.
Temp steady at 77*F with300 watt heater.
SG 1.024
Am 0
Nitrate 0
Nitrite 0
pH 8.2

I think we had a small spike in numbers early this week. Should I expect another? The live rock was cured and didnt dry out so there was not much die off(i think) Should I get another spike or ok to add clean up crew? I dont want to rush thing by putting stuff in to soon.

If your live rock was cured already, another spike will probably not happen. Nice aquascape! I would go ahead and put in a clean up crew, think you should be alright.

Your tank probably didn't cycle in a week. You will no doubt get another spike. Are you feeding the cycle with anything like a pice of raw shrimp?

No feeding just the live rock and sand. hesitant to put raw shirimp in. I am willingnto wait ,dont want to rush things. I will just wait ajd let nature take its course. I have read to many horror stories in this forum to rush things

well i did the same thing and the next morning i found a damsel swiming upside down so i would recomend that you go to ur lfs and ask them to test ur water and tell u to add any fish or not. the best is to wait till the 4 week mark has pased up
