Default White coating on Fiji live rock

My tank is new and has been running for 6 weeks. I have only a small amount of live rock in it now, but am purchasing much more. The rock has some patches of purple coraline algae, but a hard white coating is now spreading. Does anyone know what this is. The coating was partially present when I purchased the rock from the FS, but I believe it is beginning to spread. Is this a problem? If so what can be done about it. Water parameters are listed below. Thanks in advance for any advice!
Ammonia- 0ppm
Nitrites- 0ppm
Nitrates- 0ppm
pH- 8.0-8.2

Would you happen to have a picture? That would help out a lot.
It might just be some coral that was on the life rock spreading, or it might not.

I tried to attach the picture, but it said the file was to big. It only allows 97.7Kb and my pic was 670Kb. Is there another way to post the picture?

Whoa! Big picture, try a free hosting service such as photobucket. You can post pictures up there.

Alright, now that I understand how to do it, here is a second picture which I think is more clear.

This is coraline. Nothing to worry about, actually a good sign. I have this on some of my rocks.
