Default moving

I have a FOWLR, 220 gal that is about a year and half old. I am moving in a couple weeks, and taking the tank with me. What is the best way of moving everything? Only moving a couple of miles...

Default Re: moving

Get a bunch of buckets or plastic tubs to put LR in. Keep it moist - cover with wet towels. Put fish in buckets or plastic bags. Tranfer water to buckets or small drums - you can get 15, 30 or 55 gal plastic drums for that. If the move takes a long time be sure to have heaters in the buckets for the fish & some aeration as well. Battery operated air pumps work well for that. If you have a sand bottom, the combined weight of the sand & tank will probably make carrying the tank extremely difficult. Probably best to get rid of the sand & start fresh with that.
