Default Size conversion into gallons

Hi all,

I have been Given a tank that measures 48"x12"18" how much water can this tank hold and would the size be suitable for salt water ?

44.9 Gallons, yes any size is worth keeping!

Generally speaking ...

(length in inches) X (height in inches) X (width in inches) / 231
= US Gallons.

Regardless of the geometry, cubic inches of tank volume divided by 231 will give you US Gallons.
