Default Simple Anemone question

Im almost ready to start adding anemones to my tank and I am a bit curious about a couple things. First off, I heard some anemones can sting so when I place them in my tank should I be careful not to touch the fleshy part of the anemone? Second, how do I strategically place them into my tank; I know they often move themselves, so what should I do?

1) use gloves
2) put it in a spot where you most likely thing it will stay put.
I put mine in a big hole in the middle of my large middle rock, hasn't moved since.

nice looking anenome. mine is still bouncing up and down in the same spot. maybe i should move it to the other side of the tank. i havent really grabbed at it but i have stuck my hand in the tank to kind of push it away if i need to get at something. i was told if you get near the tentacles it would more than likely retract but mine never does..even when i brush my hand almost on it. i am always still nervous i am going to feel a sharp pain. what kind of gloves does everyone use?? like powderless latex or what? dish gloves?

OK, I have had mine for almost 3 weeks and no matter where I put it I find it down on the bottom of the tank the next day. Yes, I have left it down there and it still will not plant itself, it just floats around, settles for awhile, and then floats again. The other stayed right where I put him and is fine. Any ideas??

Anemones will pick where they want to live. Give him time.

I'm assuming you've got the appropriate lighting for your species of anemones.
