hello everyone i want to set up the new 3 gallon tank i will be getting on monday can i use the water and sand i have from the 5.5 gallon tank that i will no longer be using please let me know thanks if i can do i just pour the old water into the new tank without adding anymore salt thanks alot

I'm sure you could easily add it, just make sure you use a hydrometer and measure the salinity

Pouring water from one tank to another isn't going to change the salinity, it's a matter of the law of conservation.

Put the sand and rock in first to avoid overflowing your 3 gal. They have crumby edges and if you fill it to much you will most likely spill before you get a "bubble top."
