Default nitrite back at 0.25

hey I starded a 29 g on may 19 it cyceld with 45 lb LR and 2" LS last week my readings where zero for both Ammonia and Nitrite ( came from amm. 8 and NO2 from 2 ) for 2 days so I added my clean up crew ( I orded a 30 g packet ) now my Nitrites are back up to 0.25 for 4 days now I do 10% PWC every other day is there annything else I can do
thas this mean that my tank is going true a little mini cycle and that the nitrite bacterie has to catch op again

It means you added too much at one time...how much did you put in there? My first "clean up crew" additives were 1 snail and 1 hermit crab.

kaboke, you are doing fine. At least you have an idea how yur tank will react to inhabitants. Fluctuations are to be expected. It isn't like you added fish! Don't be so hard on yourself.

LOL. STUPID? I got the market cornered on that!

Yaknow, it might be an interesting (and enlightening) to start a thread where we RBs can tell what some of our less intelligent saltwater decisions have been.

With that attitude you will make a great reefer someday! Being hard on yourself for your own mistakes is a great character trait for this hobby.

Another lesson in life. Taking responsibility. What a great hobby!
