Default Okay, Read a few books on Salt Water Aquariums...

And noew am ready to take the plunge (metphorically speaking). I am wondering if I want to try it for a while with one of the 14G BioCube sytems or am I just wasting my money? The reason I am asking, my son (who is autisitic) is fasinated by our fresh water setup. And figuring he likes to wander into the Salt Water section every time we go to the Fish store. If I went with a 14G tank for his room (since it is self contained) and he won't be able to put his hands in the water will it be a good investment and realize that I probably would just use some live rock, sand a ocuple fof clowns and maybe one piece of coral. Any suggestions?

Yes thats a great idea. Clownfish and live rock is very easy to do.
Would you rather have just one larger display tank (that is not in his room) for you all to enjoy?

Eventually, but I am a little afraid of the total cost to set up a large tanks. IF all goes welll ofver tiem, I could move the small self caontained tank's contents into a larger tank, correct?

Yes you could. Those self-contained systems are nice, but must be maintained religiously! There's not nearly the flexibility you have in a larger system.
