Default Fish Food

Hi Everyone, Drfosters is having a pretty big sale on fish food, I was wondering if anyone knew the shelf life on most of these foods...like prime reef, formula 1 and 2, etc. Please give your input asap!

Thanks
Dan

They have a pretty good shelf life, if you keep them in the freezer or fridge, they stay fresh for a while....

Thanks
Dan

Dan,

I keep my flake in the freezer, seems to work well for me, I dumped my formula 1, forumla 2 and prime reef into an old large size formula 2 container, shook it up and now I have a nice mix of the flake food

Planktons all a matter of choice, the kent marine stuff in the small dropper bottle is nice...

That is a good idea, I should do that. I only have a firefish goby however..would that be a good mix for him?

Right now all I feed him is prime reef...

Thanks for the input Krazy K...much appreciated!

Dan

I'm not sure...

Try feeding the firefish one of the three daily and see if it'll eat all 3, if it does the mix will work out for ya

I did it so my fish could have a mix, somedays I feed flake twice a day and others I make up the frozen batch for them and just feed once heavy in the evening just before the halides go off.

Yeah

any of the 3 planktons in the dripper bottles are pretty descent, I've got all three, once and a while I use them, I've got so many different things, LOL

I've been trying to just stick with my reef nutrition stuff lately

As for frozen foods :

PE mysis, hikari mysis, brine with spinulara, krill, clam/squid, home made mix with cuttlefish, scallops, shrimp...

How much do I add? Is that big a bottle overkill...especially for me at this stage?
