Default Is this enough light?

I have a 180 gallon 6' X 2' X 2' salt water tank, what I hope to be reef/fish and live corals. Basically would like to keep my options open to what goes in to the tank. I currently have 2-250watt 6500K MH, 2-150watt 6500K MH, 2-6' Super Actinic flourescents, My question is; Do I need more light and at what spectrum? how much protection do the lights need from the H2O? I am building the hood in so I can dictate the protection level.

Great site thank you all for the feedback on previous questions.

First that is a really nice sized tank!

You have plenty of light with what you mentioned. You can have your lights anywhere from 3"-12" away from the water, it just depends what types of corals you are getting, and how much flow you have in your tank, since it can splash up a bit and put salt creep on your lights a little.

Since your tank is 24" tall, those 250w MH are great, since they have the extra umph to penetrate down to the tank.
