Default Coralife Super Skimmer

HElLO REEFNUTS,

I HAVE RECENTLY PURCHASED A CORALIFE SUPER SKIMMER FOR UPTO 65 GALLONS. THE SKIMMER IS NOW CAUSING A TON OF MICROBUBBLES IN MY TANK. I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING AND I USED A RULER TO MAKE SURE THE TUBE IS THE CORRECT LENGTH AND THAT THE BUBBLE TRAP IS THE VORRECT DEPTH ABOVE THE WATER. DOSE ANYONE HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH THIS ISSUE. I AM USING THE SKIMMER USING THE HANG ON BACK METHOD. THANKS

It usually takes a few days for them to "season". Wait about a week & see if things settle down.

Thats What People Told Em But The Skimmer Worked Perfect Out Of The Box. I Took It Down Because I Got A Sump For Free But It Ended Up Being Cracked Really Bad So I Hooked It Back Up And When I Did The Bubbles Started

I think the problem with it is that the bubble diffuser on the coralife suck. I would try getting some additional bubble diffuser and gluing around the output pipe. Use only aquarium safe siliicon or pvc glue. I had the same problem in my sump with the when I had the out put running directly to the pump side of the sump. But then I moved the output to the simmer side of the sump and the addition bubble diffiuser in the sump did the trick.

Yes, if you face the skimmer output away from the return pump it'll help because the bubbles will have more of a chance to rise and pop.
