They are my favorite thing in a tank. They are super easy. almost zero bioload. They keep your rocks clean. They can be a issue if they get to to big because they can knock over corals. At anyrate your talking about the longspined black urchin. Also known as the blue eyed urchin...

If you contact Aquarium supplies for your tropical fish tank, saltwater fish tank, saltwater aquarium fish, freshwater aquarium fish & reef aquarium. Aquarium filters, aquarium lighting, aquarium tanks, protein skimmers & more for your reef tank. They will have more information then me. I know I put one in a tank that has been going for about 3 years and I never have to fool with him. IMO if you have algea on your rocks you should be good. That place opens monday morning. My guess is if you dont have algea growth you might be able to use blanched romain or somethinig like that but dont qoute me. I would be more concerned with your lion. Is it aggressive?

I say do it and put up some pictures. Yhey will keep your rockes clean just watch and make sure they dont pick at your soft coral. They only move around at night so you will have to watch them in the middle of the night but they are bad mamma jammas!

Sweet Im gonna go get one today and thats the last of my spending for now lol. I dont have any coral in there yet due to room and weight Im starting to question the stand my tank is on as I am sure the tanks getting heavy. I will take some pics today and figure out how to get them on here. As far as the lion and the trigger they seem to do fine I mean they are not hanging out together but they arent picking at eachother either
