Default Clown fish behavior

When clowns don't have an anemone to host, is it normal behvior for it to pace the tank constantly? Or should he be hanging out near the caves?

Mine love their reflections...although I had to take the new clown I got friday and return it because I believe it was coming down with Brooklynella (clownfish disease) Hopefully the one I picked up in exchange for it will become its mate because it's smaller and the same color.

Mine is retarded.. he sees the hermit move and he tried to follow it until he realizes it isnt food.. then he chases himself in his reflection like you said.
