| protein skimmers are never a bad idea. Sapphire Aquatic makes skimmers that will fit in the back compartments of the variuos cubes. Check out nanocustoms.com for info and price. Many powerheads have flow adjustments. Another idea is to make a spray bar. I've got pictures of my setup in the DIY section, cost me $4.99 plus a powerhead. One thing to keep in mind is something that I'm dealing with now, adding the second powerhead also added about 2.5 degrees to my tank temp. |

| Yea Im at exactly 80-81 now dead of summer.. so that may push me a little over the edge as far as temp As far as spraybars can they be added to the bottom of the tank? right above the substrate? Blowing from back of thank to front?

| If you want to get a little more flow you could get something like this. Sea Swirl Wavemaker Is a sea swirl oscillating powerhead that you use loc line attachment to extend the length of the jet. Then it will oscillate on the bottom of your tank pushing water in a 90 degree pattern. I used the loc line to make a flow manifold under my sand bed. This stuff works great allows you to position your flow any way you want it too. |

| wow, thats expensive for a reutrn.. do they make cheaper ones? i like the idea of ocillation.. but wow

| What you can do is get a standard power head find out the diameter of the output pipe, then order teh loc line directly from the company who manufactures it. You will lose the ocillation but you could potentially get the price down to about $40 - $60. The ocillating power heads tend to be more expensive. |

| Like oceanic my biocube manufacturer? or the powerhead manufacturer? what is a loc line? I will look it up or is that a typo?

| Could I potentially split the output line and put one on the bottom and one on the top? Or would I lose flow?

| the pump that came with my Aquapod and the maxijet900 I bought to use with it both have an outlet that fits into a 1/2" ID hose. |
| ||||
| You would lose flow by splitting it. However, you can get an oversized pump and use that to get the proper flow out multiple ports. I have 3 pumps totaling about 2500 GPH split between 3 manifolds and about 18 adjustable ports. |
| ||||
| cool, now where would one get the split lines? or would I need to fabricate these?

The system I built for mine was standard 3/4 inch PVC with 3/4 to 1/2 inch MPT thread PVC "T"'s then 1/2 lockline coming off of that |
| ||||
| hmm, yea i guess i could use some type of bendy material that can pass water and some pvc t's. Would be nice to see pvc in black to match and hide in the background instead of having an eyesore of white pipe.
