 Dsb? so if i get some sand from the beach and bake it, then add 4-5 inches in my fuge, will my tank go through another cycle? I do not have the fuge running irhgt now, i will turn it on for the first time on....wed? maybe tues. anyways, i have a 20g sump/fuge and 10g will be a fuge. so....if i add the sand will it go trough a small or large cycle, or will it be fine? thanks in advance!

| Re: Dsb? You'll be fine, but I'd kinda lean towards new sand, the dry aragonite is fine, if doing the DSB in your fuge, do 20-30lbs and make a good 6inch deep section or its pointless in terms of a DSB reducing/removing nitrates... |

| Re: Dsb? LFS. Dry aragonite is a lot cheaper than live. I was at my LFS tonight buying live sand but I didn't see the price of the dry stuff. Sorry. BTW, any new pics of your sump/fuge?

| Re: Dsb? well, my kayaking trip was concled  i should be able to go in another week or 2 though.alright thanks for the price, my lfs doesnt carry the dry stuff. so ill have to get it somewhere else. what about normal sand for a sand pit? i know it is the same thing as beach sand, but do they bake it somewhat before it goes into a sand pit?
