Default Is it ick?

Came home woth a Blue Tang and a Brown Tang today. After they spent 4 or 5 hours in our tank we noticed little white spots all over them. I did not notice this when we first droped them in. We are new to salt having obly had fresh in the past.
Any help would be great. Thanks.

If it is a parasite you could give it and the brown tang a freshwater bath. Pull all new fish out asap and put in a seperat tank using the water from your main tank. Kinda like doing a water change but save your old water for the QT tank.

Go to photobucket.com and upload. It will only tank a couple of minutes to creat an account. Upload your pics and then use the little mounian icon and copy the url.

If I do need to put the fish in another tank, would a 5 gal bucket work? We have only one tank. We have just started and have only the one.

That looks like Ich all right...

and a blue hippo and a powder brown dont belong in a 55...

I'd bring them back to where u bought them, they shouldnt be selling those fish to people with a 55...

(I get upset over tangs in small tanks, they are my favorite fish)

yes, it is very possible that all of your fish are sick now. you will find out in a day or 2. just watch each and every fihs VERY closely! personally thoguh, i would go out to walmart and get a 10g QT(quarentine tank). then you can treat appropriately.

The fish we have came with the tank. A guy from work is moving and had to let it go. We went to the shop he had been going to. The owner has all the info on our tank. I will take them back in the morning.
What we have is 1 Flame Angle, 2 yellow clown clown gobies, 2 fire shrimp, 2 peppermint shrimp, 1 foxface lo, 2blue green reef chromis and a mess of corals.

how large is the foxface? a foxface is suppposed to have at least a 70, but even that is a little small.
