Default MHLLE- Marine Head & lateral Line Errosion

I have a blue hippo tang about 6 months old, 2 inches in size. A couple of months ago his skin began to deteorate and his face and body began to turn white. He looked horrible and was getting worse. I moved from a 55G to 125G and changed his diet(from generic flakes) to frozen and mixed diet, i fed him mysis, brine shrimp with spirulina, formalae one & Two flakes, pellets, prime reef flakes. Low and behold two weeks later he's got 90% of his color back. He still has a few light spotches but they seem to be clearing and he's beautifull blue colorshowing so wonderfully. I am still learning about MHLLE but i do know that he's diet helped with he's recovery. I am not sure if he will get all he's color back but so far so good. Any other suggestions.

The 55 gallon tank could have been contributing to his condition, tangs require a tank of 75 gallon s or more.

I am glad to hear he is doing OK!!!

keep him in the 125 for sure. his condition is obviously coming around so keep up the good work. also try feeding reef seaweed. you can generaly get that at any petstore. it will come in freeze dried form. they love it. good job and keep us posted!!
