Default My next fish.

So after the clowns go in I wanted to go with a firefish or a yellowhead jawfish. Problem is I guess there suicidal... I dont have a lid because of heating issues. Will this be a issue. Anyone have these fish?

"Blackjack tang" has a yellow head jaw fish. He says it does alot of digging in the substrate. It seems very cute.

I have a firefish. (Nemateleotris magnifica). The red tail one. It has never been suicidal. It is very peaceful. They were on sale at our lfs for 8.99.

I've read that the Scissortail dartfish the bluish gray one, tends to try to escape by jumping from uncovered aquariums. Which firefish or dartfish were you considering?

I had a very peaceful file fish that jumped out when I was testing the light timer and kept having to flick lights on and off to check the setting. So you never know.

They sell 6 inch wood extensions that sit on top of aquariums, with or with out lids, which might help contain a jumper.

You can use eggcrate as a top to keep the jumpers in or attach little bungy straps to the fish so they can't get out!!!
