Default baby snail starfish hitchikers gd/bd?

Hey all thanks for all the help so far.... Now that is said next ques. last week i saw a baby snail on my glass didn't see a prob with that but... found 2 small starfish on the glass. Should i 1. let them be? 2. cut them in half and make more? 3. get them out now before it becomes a problem??
tank info: 1 month old fowlr, 15 gal,18lb LR 20lb LS, 1 orchard dotty back

Reef crystals salt (mixed with tap water sorry i know)
Penguin 100 w/ bio-wheel
Visi-Therm Stealth 100W heater
Odyssea 13" 24W 50/50 compact Fluo light
2" live sand
3-5lb live rock
1.022 sality
78 deg water

Enjoy your free detritus eaters. Most of the time, you do not need to worry. The stars will not be a problem...I am guessing that these are more of the microstar variety. Snails are fine, most of the time.

I hear ppl say that you will get these sorts of things, my ? is do you needall the high intesity lighting or is this somethat just occours with good water quality and so on?

i am assuming a micro-star varity. but..cut them in thirds or it seems like the concensus is "just leave it alone if it ant broke dont fix it!!"

if they are microstars great, if they look like regular starfish and have 7 arms with some of the arms shorter than the others remove them they have been known to eat at the bases of corals especially the sps types.
