Default Clowns and angels?

I have 2 occelaris clowns that have had the tank to themselves for some time now. I just added a coral beauty and one clown has it barricaded behind some rocks and is just sitting there fanning him with his tail. Will this behavior stop or do I need to do something?

After watching for a while I noticed the angel got out a few time and went back. It's out now and the clown is still there almost like its guarding that spot. Any ideas?

Clowns can be territorial. You might have to rearrange your rock a bit make them think they're in new surroundings.

speaking of which Gary. I have decided I don't like my rock arrangement. Not enough layering for when I do start putting Corals in my tank.

To rearrage the rock, do you need to take the inhabitants out to move the rock arround or just be very careful?

All depends on how much rearranging you plan on doing & how stupid your fish are. I've heard of some guys losing a fish or 2 because they didn't get out of the way when the work was going on. If it's a major overhaul, I'd moved them out.

i hang a specimen cup off the back end and put the fish in that. i have a few depending on how many fish your working with but id move the shrimp if you have any for sure and then try something like that this way they never really leave the tank but just stay out of the way!

Angels like to hang out in the rock work. Coral Beauty's have a aggressive behavor and once it is established will be fine. Moving some LR arround will help if they have not become aquainted yet. Also leaving the lights off helps a lot as mentioned above
