I have a RO-DI hooked up under my sink .. there is a faucet hookup which is as simple as screwing in the adapter .. This is the one I have http://www.purelyh2o.com/product.php...cat=249&page=1 When I purchased it there is an option for the adapter type, I just got the faucet adapter .. I screw it in when I need it then unhook it and store it when im done.

so you can just hook that up to your kitchen faucet on top of the sink and then unhook it when you are done and store it whereever? If so I'm getting that one. I was under the impression that I would have to do a ton of plumbing which I don't want to do living in a rental and all. If it is that easy I'm gonna go that route instead of buying straight from the lps. thanks

the units on ebay look like cheap no-name brand units. Which ones are worth getting? And the hoses on the units look tiny... Exactly how long does it take for these ro/di things to make enough water for a 75 gal tank?

The ones on eBay are almost identical to the ones you'll find in an LFS unless it's a Kent, but as far as the hoses, they all use the same type, it's like the hose on a refrigerator ice maker... I use an ebay model from Devon Web, works fine... My TDS is 0-1 ppm... A 75 Gal/day unit would take 24hrs to produce that much, however, you will not get that much out of it... It's all relative to the pressure you put into the unit as well as the temp of the water... I have mine hooked up to a faucet so I can control the temp, they are most efficient at about 70 degrees F, mine will produce 50% more water at 0 TDS when it runs at the right temp... Big D

| I've Got An R/o System In My House... It Was An Add-on When We Bought It, And With My Tanks, I Knew It Would Come In Handy... Mine Puts Out About 95 Gallons A Day At About 75 Degrees... It Sucks To Wait Sometimes But On Small Water Changes Or Simply Adding Water It Is A Huge Help... To Fill The Tank Initially, I Suggest Getting Some Five Gallon Ozarka Bottles Or Something And Hiking Up To The Nearest Water Depot/mill... Usually Find Them At Wal-mart... It Has Like 7 Different Steps Of Filtration And Comes Out Crystal Clear.... Mine Looks Like It Simply Runs Thru The Splitter Under The Sink And Looks Semi-easy To Install.... i can get details if u like, one of my brothers is an installer for lowes...
