I have a bottle of ammolock that is at least 10 years old and I keep it around to remind me to never ever put that kind of junk in my tank.If you have ammonia levels that are that high you need to find the source of it and cure that or you will go broke buying more of that junk.Is your tank cycling?

You should post back in your original thread you started called "New Tank" where you were warned of these type of consequences. By keeping your posts there people would learn not to rush things and heed the advice of those that have already made the same mistakes.

You will need to do small frequent water changes while testing for amonia and nitrates. While you will not be able to eliminate these things for a while you might be able to reduce them to tolerable limits untill things in your tank settle down.

I hope all works out for you and your tankmates.

Thats good to hear cause sometimes these things seem to escalate. Keep us posted and send pics of that tank when your critters get settled in. Everybody likes the pics!
