Default RO kit on its way - which salt mix is best?

I have ordered a RO kit for the utility sink - what is the best mix? The RO is from Aquasana - supposed to take 97% of the "stuff" out of tap water.
I have a 220 gallon tank - with shipping and etc.. cheaper to buy at the LFS or stick with online??
Thanks for all the info/advice - this process has gone from intimidating/overwhelming to really exciting!!!

Probably cheaper to buy @ LFS by the time you'll have to pay for the freight.
I've used Instant ocean's for years with no problems. You're going to get a good number of responses to what salt is best.
Check the analysis of the salt - you don't want one that has phosphates or nitrates.

I have also used Instant Ocean's salt mix for my reef system. It works great and contains numerous trace elements.

I would say Instant Ocean or Reef Crystals.
I stopped using Oceanic salt. It is expensive and seems to have quite a few solids in it that won't desolve.

I prefer reef crystals, dissolves fast and contains trace elements, also.

I like Red Sea. Has higher calcium than io and has gotten decent reviews.

A 160gal bucket of salt from Drs Foster and Smith is $32 Saltwater Aquarium Salt: Aquarium Systems Instant Ocean & Reef Crystals Synthetic Sea Salt

The identical bucket in local stores in this area (northern Ohio) is $48, I just put in a fairly large order of aquarium supplies with DFS, and my shipping was $17 on 150lbs of supplies (sand and salt for most of that weight) the savings on salt alone paid for my shipping from Minn. to Ohio on the order.

I used Instant Ocean since day 1, just recently switched to the Reef Crystals.

I would stick with one of these two.

The dr. foster and smith thing is good.

Buy two or three buckets though to make it a great deal

Fish only IO if reef use any premium salt. Reef Crystals and the like here is why

the key to a healthy Reef aquarium is water stability I preformed a test and here is my results on a water change with IO my water parameters were
Before

Nitrate 20
ALK 3.5
PH 8.2
Calcium 390

after

Nitrate 10
PH 8.0
ALK 2.5
Calcium 300

This was 33% water change on 75 gallons

I recommend premium salts all ways

OK, Ill join in! LOL

I use Tropic Marin. Why? Because thats what somebody told me to use when I got started. Now I hate to switch. Starting to look at reef Crystals though especially if it really has more calcium in it. Not having a calcium reactor and starting to have quite a few corals in the tank the added calcium already in the salt might have some benefits for me.

A FLS close to my house stocks Oceanic, Coral life and Instant Ocean. Any of these ok to use - I need something quickly to get the LR into before it turns into DR!
Next - can I start with one brand and then switch to a premium like Reef Crystals from Drs. Foster and Smith?

Hmmmm I'll bet if we looked back through the threads it was probably me that recommended the tropic marin

No, it was the guy I bought my first (notice I said first) sump from. He was tearing down a 125gal as he was recovering from an accident and couldnt take care of the tank. He swore by the stuff. He told me how it had "trace minerals" in it and I just thought WOW thats for me! I still have a 5 gal bucket left and I will probably try Reef Crystals after this.

I bought some tropic marin and opened it up to see the difference lol. I scooped it up and my hand felt like it was on fire. There are so many minerals in the Tropic Marin thats why I made the switch...
