Default New Tank

I have been cycling my tank for alittle more then a month, 40 gallon with about 25lbs live rock and DSB. My tank has recently broken out with what appears to be a diatom bloom. After research it looks as if this is normal in a new tank towards the end of the cycle. My question is, if there is anything i can do to help get rid of the problem, or will it go away on its own? Also when would be a good time to add a clean up crew? Thanks!!

test your water and if ammonia and nitrites are down to zero, then I'd do a 15-20% water change and add a cleanup crew. Give them a week or two to clean up the algae and you should be ready to go.

With a deep sand bed I would hold off on adding a clean up crew for at least 3 to 6 months so that your DSB can become established. this is because the clean up crew will eat the beneficial life the DSB needs to be healthy. Google this for more info!
