| test your water and if ammonia and nitrites are down to zero, then I'd do a 15-20% water change and add a cleanup crew. Give them a week or two to clean up the algae and you should be ready to go. |

| With a deep sand bed I would hold off on adding a clean up crew for at least 3 to 6 months so that your DSB can become established. this is because the clean up crew will eat the beneficial life the DSB needs to be healthy. Google this for more info!
