Default RO Water Question

I have just bought my friends 250 gal saltwater tank since he is moving, and had a few questions. I have had a 100 gal tropical befor, but I am all new to saltwater. I have read several pages about RO systems and how great they are, but want to hold off on buying one for now. I plan on buying one in the future, but for now I hate to try and move all 250+ gal of water, and was wondering if I could just move half of the original water and mix the rest at home. I was wondering if I could just use Culligan water, I think it is all RO filtered and can get it cheaper for the time being and delivered to the house for free.

WRONGO! 125g of culligan water(very good by the way)=100 bucks. This RO/DI is 100 bucks. So basically you would pay for the system instantly... www.airwaterice.com Mighty Mite with DI Added

You want RO/DI water. If you can't get that then distilled.

Out here its 4.34 for a 5g drum. If you want to waste 50 dollars by all means. O and in another week your going to need another 25g o then the week after that another 25g o and in 3 weeks you will need another 25g...Are you getting my point here?
