| New to the Hobby (Getting Started/Setting Up) Think you can upgrade to saltwater? Your probably very confused, but remember ask questions and you'll get your answers on here! |

| The quickest way to set up a QT is to take 50% of the water from your existing already cycled tank, add 50% new saltwater (freshly made) and take a used sponge prefilter or regular filter and use that on your filtration on the QT tank, this is the way to quickly set up a QT tank and have it already Bio ready for fish. Make sure the temp and salinity and Ph are all very close to the main show tank to limit anothe acclimation period from the QT to the Show tank after 2-4 weeks. |
