Default too many pods

Can you actually ever have too many pods?? I've got 20 pounds of live rock in my 12 gal aquapod. It's been running for about 2.5 months now and there are pods everywhere. I think they are multi generational because some are now a good centimeter long and no longer clear like the smaller ones. I'd sat hat at any random time, I can look at 1 square inch of any piece of live rock and see 15 pods of various sizes. I don't currently have any fish in the tank.

Can a tank be over run with pods so much that it becomes an issue?

Also, with this kind of pod population, do you think I could keep a Mandarin for a while or is a 12 gal too small to keep pod production up to sustain it without alot of supplementing?

Default Re: too many pods

I had them all over my 10 gal tank and two weeks after adding a small 3/4" Royal Gramma I have to serch for them. So I would say NO.

Nanas (that's what my son and I call our Royal Gramma) eat a lot of pods? That would explain why my population has not gone up...
