Default clean up?

ok well its official that my hermit eats my longspine urchins today he tried to eat my second urchin so i took him out. Now not sure what to get to keep things clean? In the 55 gal there is a small lion a snowflake eel about 12-14 inches long and whats left of the black longspine not sure if he is gonna make it. heavy sigh. 60 lbs ls 35 lbs lr.

Sorry not familiar with Eels and whether they would eat snails. My suggestion would be to try a few Large Turbo's.

what are snowflakes eels like? i really whant one. do you have to feed them goldfish? what kind of fish can you keep them with?

you can still do hermits. Just get smaller ones. Crabs eat fish too. Are you going to get rid of your fish? No way. Your hermits are just too big is my guess. Get some lil guys...

The snowflakes are really cool but they grow super fast I got him about 6-8 inches he has almost doubled that in 4 months. I have had in there a orange trigger a lion and a long spine urchin. get one if you have the room and mine likes lots of caves he also dug paths under all my rocks but its cool. I feed him little guppies but i skewer them with a kabob stick cause he doesnt chase them down to catch them. I also feed him krill.

The hermit I had was a monster the shell he had occupied was about 3 inches long and about 1.5 inches dia.

Im gonna take that hermit back to the lfs and trade him for some smaller ones.
