| have you tested your water yet? if you have what are the results. what kind of lights do you have?? if the lights are too strong then they will stay closed. are you feeding any liquid foods? if not, i suggest a live phytoplankton food or something of the sorts. give as much info as you can!

| Water seems ok. I wondered about the lights. I just got some new polyps and they are at about the same height and opening, but that's what the first did, too. I have 4-65w pc lights. SHould I move the polyps lower?? |

| i would. put them in a shaded area if you have something like that. just mess around with it and see what happens. i had the same problem with a blue mushroom, and i put him in the shade and now hes about 7 " in diameter. see what the coral likes best, but try not to move him too much

| its called DT's live phytoplankton. any good private fish store should have it. im sure theres other brands out there that are live, so just ask them what they have!

| take some pictures so we can see what you've got. I am guessing you have some zoos. Lighting is critical for zoos as they are photosynthetic organisms, although they will eat other stuff...yes, phyto but also finely chopped raw shrimp if you can drop it onto them..pics, pics,...
