| my tank has been cycling for about a month and now diatoms are appearing. right now most of the tank is covered exxcept for glass but it has a little. i want to know if the diatoms will ever disappear because i really want a clean setup. any suggestions on how to remove them |

| let it be. if its brown diatoms then it will likely leave in a week or too. keep testing your water and make sure everything continues to go as planned, and keep up on the water changes.
