Default CPR Bak-Pak

Well I have been looking around for a skimmer and I found this one.. I was just wondering what you guys thought about it? I can pick it up from someone for about 35$ but it does have a busted protien cup. Im pretty sure I can buy just the cup do you think it is worth the price? Also the lady said it has some calcium build up, but can I just clean it up with some vinager or something? BTW I have a 55 gallon tank.. Any comments are welcome thanks

I have the CPR BakPak for my 20gals...not the 2R, but I know which model you are talking about. I like mine. I bought mine unused.

You can take a look at Ameka Aquatics for parts for BakPak.

I have a CPR simmer and fuge and I love them. CPR makes great products and stands behind them all the way. Mine came used as well and had a crack in the skimmer. CPR replaced the whole skimmer free and I had it in 2 days.

I have 1 on my 30 - works very well. CPR has come out with a new ph to use with the Bak Pak instead of the MJ 1200. Check out the link that Becky posted.

I have both pumps. The Bakpak on my son's tank is a factory 2nd bought off of eBay. Came with a MJ1200. The new one that is on my husband's tank is an Accela pump. I personally like the MJ because it comes with a plastic covering over the intake on the pump. The Accela does not and I hate leaving things open for overly inquisitive fish.
